Abstract

In every era, Youth has always been a valuable asset to any nation. It is the youth who have consistently played an important role in changing the situation of nations. This fact remains unchanged even today: if the youth are properly guided, they can play a positive role in the development of nations. Strategically, Pakistan, which came into being in the name of Islam, is located in a region of the world that not only has one of the largest populations but also a majority of young people. If this youth is guided properly and in a timely manner, they can play a revolutionary role in the development of the country in the future. The primary requirement in this regard is a sense of 'identity.' Islam recognizes the identity of a person, whether it is linguistic, regional, political, or other identities, but only as an introduction. It urges Muslims to the concept of 'Ummat e Wahida' (a unified Muslim community). However, if this ‘introduction’ leads to the division of society and plays a role in forming 'negative identities', Islam unequivocally condemns it. If not timely addressed, these negative identities exhibit themselves as extremism, intolerance, sectarianism & other forms of worst consequences.Top of FormThe research aims to find ways to address these issues in the light of Islamic teachings, particularly the Quran and Sunnah, so that the timely guidance of the youth can be harnessed to contribute to the nation's development, rather than allowing this valuable asset to go to waste.
