Islamic concept of Modesty and Modern Fashion Trends

Abstract

Modesty is an Islamic attribute just has every religion has some distinguish characteristic; Islam is characterized by modesty. Modesty represent the whole of Islam. Islamic traditions, pillars and teaching promote modesty with in humans. The faith of believers is incomplete without modesty. Because modesty is a branch of faith in Islam. It is a quality that when developed protect a person from disobeying Allah Almighty. Modesty brings good to a person. It seems that the more modest a person is the more he will able together and distribute good. The most deserving of modesty is Allah Almighty himself. From whom man should be modest. Modesty enhances human personality, while immorality tarnishes human characters. Modesty is essential in every aspect of life. Then, whether a person speak has interact with other because being modest does not just mean being shy, but also being careful every action. A person must be modest even with his own self. Modesty is a quality that makes a person respectable in the eyes of other people. Allah has prepared the painful punishment for those who spread indecency. A human society without modesty becomes an animal society. It is the quality of modesty. That can a society morally and socially excellent. It is because of this importance of modesty in Islam that whenever the enemies of Islam attacked, they did so on the modesty of Muslims.
