Abstract

Imam Abū Zayd ‘Abd Allāh ibn ‘Umar ibn ‘Īsā, Al-Dabūsī, (d. 430 AH) is the muslim scholar of fifth century Hijry. He belongs to Hanfī school of thought. He attained the specialty in the field of Islamic Law (فقہ) and Islamic Jurisprudence (اصول فقہ).His book “Ta’sīs al-Naẓar” is the first book, written in the field of ILm-ul-khilaf(علم الخلاف).

It was difficult for a jurisprudence student to memorize the issues of conflict, to know the reasoning and reasoning styles as well as he remained less informed about the knowledge of jurisprudence sources, before the compilation of Ilm-ul –Kilaf.So,to resolve such issues faced by a jurisprudence student, Imam Al-Dabbosī wrote his book Ta’sīs al-Naẓar (تاسیس النظر ).
