Abstract

The education and upbringing of children hold a fundamental place in shaping societies and ensuring a prosperous future. In the contemporary era, where technological advancements and globalization have significantly impacted moral and ethical values, the need for a comprehensive and effective educational framework has become more pressing than ever. The Sīrah of Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ serves as an ideal and holistic model for nurturing children, instilling in them ethical values, discipline, and a strong sense of responsibility. This study explores the necessity and importance of the Prophetic teachings in child development, focusing on key aspects such as moral training, intellectual growth, social ethics, and emotional well-being. The research highlights how the compassionate, wisdom-driven, and exemplary conduct of the Prophet ﷺ provides a timeless methodology for parents and educators to cultivate a balanced and principled generation. The study also examines the challenges posed by modern educational systems and social influences and presents solutions derived from the Sīrah to address these issues effectively.

By analyzing the Prophet’s ﷺ approach to child rearing, including his affection, patience, and guidance, this research emphasizes the need to integrate the Sīrah into contemporary educational curricula. It concludes that adopting Prophetic principles in children’s upbringing is not only beneficial but also essential for fostering individuals who contribute positively to society while upholding Islamic moral values.
