Abstract

This research paper presents an inclusive investigation of Allama Abdul Rasheed Mehravi's thoughtful and deep impact on Islamic sciences, situating his scholarship within the complex landscape of Southern Punjab Islamic intellectual history. Through a nuanced critical analysis, this study exposes Mehravi's distinctive approach to Quranic exegesis, Hadith interpretation, and philosophical theology. He was a great scholar, who dedicated his whole life for religious and literary services. He devoted his life to the teaching and preaching of the religion of Islam.  He performed many feats to elevate the name of Islam, established institutions for Islamic educational purposes, authored books for promotion of religion, and delivered speeches to enlighten hearts, souls and minds with the light of Islam. He used all his powers to popularize the Muhammadan religion.  For the promotion of religious education, he established a large institution like Jamia Ghousia Mehria Multan. By unearthing Mehravi's unpublished works and books, this research tenders an innovative assessment of his intellectual trajectory, highlighting his relevance for modern-day Islamic thought.
