Shah Waliullah (1702-1762) was a renowned religious scholar, jurisprudent (Faqeeh), and researcher of the 18th century. His notable works, including Hujjatul Allah hil Balighah, Lamaat, Altaf ul Qudas, Hamaat, Sataat, and Tafheemat e Ilahea, are considered some of the finest statements of Islamic philosophy and ethics, influenced by neo-platonic concepts. Shah Waliullah's extensive work on the Quran, Sunnah, and Ijtihad was instrumental in developing Islamic historiography. His scholastic contributions became reference points for theological and historical works, influencing generations of Islamic thinkers. His works encompass history, philosophy, ethics, and the study of Tassawuf, and are literary masterpieces of his time. His most significant contributions were in ethics, Ilm e Kalam, and the philosophy of Shariah and history. Shah Waliullah integrated the classical Arabic literary culture of adab, the purification of akhlaq (morals) and hearts, and sought to rationalize Islamic traditions through philosophical thought processes. This research paper aims to objectively investigate the Islamic moral dimensions and ethical concepts in Shah Waliullah's works and their practical relevance for the present young generation and contemporary academics.
