This research study explores the traditional practices associated with joy and sorrow in Islamic culture, examining their social significance and benefits. By understanding the role these rituals play in the social fabric, we can appreciate their continued relevance and the ways they contribute to societal harmony and stability. Islam is a complete code of life. Which gives perfect guidance to the people of Islam in their beliefs and worships, happiness and sorrow and private and social life. Therefore, it was necessary to take guidance from Shariah in every matter. The importance and usefulness of the rituals of happiness and sorrow prevalent in our society will be highlighted below in the light of Qur’an, Sunnah, and Islamic teachings.
