Abstract

In every religion, the role of women has been the subject of discussion. A sizeable section of the scriptures of the Sematic religions addressed concerns concerning women in some fashion or another over the course of their existence. As far as West Woman is concerned, it is a symbol of sin, cleverness, social injustice and aggression or violence. Muslim women, on the other hand, were granted greater acknowledgment and freedom of choice in matters pertaining to marriage, education, inheritance, and other matters. The Islamic religion is based on the principle that male and female should be treated equally, and as a consequence, women in Islamic societies have been able to elevate their status and position. Within the scope of this study, a comparison of the status and role of a woman in the eyes of West and Islam has been examined.
