Abstract

Since the time of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) until today, there has
been a continuous tradition of serving the Holy Quran in various ways in every
era. Therefore, if someone contributes through the art of recitation (Qirat), others
delve into the depths of its meanings and concepts, searching for the divine lights,
and then contribute through the art of interpretation (Tafsir). As a result, the
tradition of Quranic exegesis continues in every era. In modern times, a wellknown interpretation, "Sirat ul Jinan fi Tafsir al-Quran," is also part of this
tradition. "Sirat ul Jinan" is a prominent exegesis (Tafsir) of the Quran, recognized
for its distinctive characteristics and profound insights into the interpretation of
the Holy text. Since understanding the characteristics of tafsir is necessary to
benefit from it in a good way, one thing that distinguishes it from other things is
its unique features. "Sirat ul Jinan fi Tafsir ul Quran" is an tafsir that carries many
qualities.
It seems like there have been several thesis and articles written on this topic before.
One of them is "Investigative and Critical Analysis of Tafsir Sirat ul Jinan " by
Hafiz Muhammad Awan. Another one is "Topics of Seerah in Tafsir Siraat" by
Sajida Parveen.This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the unique features
of "Sirat ul Jinan" in interpreting the Quran. It explores the methodology,
linguistic insights, theological perspectives, and thematic emphasis employed by
the author in elucidating the meanings of the Quranic verses. Furthermore, it
examines the scholarly contributions and critical acclaim received by "Sirat ul
Jinan" within the field of Quranic exegesis, highlighting its significance as a
valuable resource for understanding the Quranic text.
