Abstract

The reconstruction of Islamic thought is highly philosophical subject of social science. In every part of history, Muslim scholars paid special attention towards reconstruction of thoughts. Muslim scholars also defined the procedure of reconstruction of thoughts with comprehensive approaches. In this regard, Allama Muhammad Iqbal presented unique thought relating formation of ideas and theories. Allama has given unique pattern of procedure of Ijtehad through comprehensive strategy. It is dire need of the time to consider the thoughts of Muslim scholars regarding Islamic ideology to address contemporary challenges prevailing in the modern world. Reconstruction of Islamic thought is primary requirement of Islamic civilization to protect young mind and Muslim societies. In this article, comprehensive efforts of Muslim scholars are presented regarding reconstruction of Islamic thoughts. Ijtehad is a basic requirement to introduce reforms and values to counter ideological, social and cultural issues.
