Nasir al-Din Tusi, who lived in the most difficult period of Islamic history, played a decisive role in maintaining and developing the current of Islamic civilization in its various aspects. The diversity of his writings, his openness to Muslim scholars from different schools of thought, and his willingness to examine Islamic knowledge in both its occult and external ways are some of the characteristics that distinguish Tusi not only from other scholars of his generation. from, but also from Muslim thinkers in the history of Islamic civilization. In both theory and practice, Tusi was positively involved with Sufism. This inclusion indicates the dominance of Sufi thought in this period.
